How to manage a channel #1

How to manage a channel

Well, our channel has been created and designed – it’s time to start posting! Remember – the first post is the most important! Since Telegram channels differ in that all new subscribers have access to all messages on the channel from the first post and many of them start reading the channel “from the beginning”.

On this basis, it is best if in the first post you introduce yourself, write about yourself, about your channel. Write more about the channel! Why you created a channel, what visitors can read on it, what benefits it will bring to subscribers, and more.

Now, as for the posts themselves. To create a post just type in text or attach a picture, but it will not look very nice. So I strongly recommend using special services and bots.

The best bot for posting – ControllerBot.

I will run a little ahead and tell you about how to work with it.

First of all, we need to create our own bot, which will be used to publish records on the channel.

In Telegram, type @BotFather in the search box and start a dialog with this bot.

Type @BotFather in the search box and start a dialog with this bot.

Press “Start”. You’ll see a window like this. Next, you should click on the /newbot line. Alternatively, you can enter this command manually in the message field.

Next, you should click on the /newbot line.

Now enter the name of your bot that other users will see (I entered “MaxBasev_bot”), confirm. At the end you need to enter username – this is like our bot address (“MaxBasev_bot”).
Important! The username should end with the word “bot”!

You’ll end up with something like this.

After confirmation, you will receive a notification with the HTTP API. It is important to remember it and save it! Everything is ready! You created your first bot!

Next you need to add a bot to your channel administrators.

Go to your channel settings.

Press Administrators. Then click Add administrator.

Enter the name of your first bot in the search box.

Give your bot all necessary rights. And press Save.

We’ll finish this for now. You already have your channel and your publication bot ready! In the next post I will tell you how to connect the ControllerBot to your channel and how to make nice publications using this bot.
